Collective worship is central to life at our school and is carefully planned around our core Christian values. Through a varied weekly pattern of worship, pupils are supported to reflect, grow spiritually and understand how our values can be lived out in everyday life.
Each Monday, we introduce the value focus for the week, exploring what it means and how it can guide our learning, relationships and choices.
On Tuesdays, we come together to sing a range of much-loved and new worship songs, using music as a joyful expression of faith and community. These songs are a mixture of faith hymns and seasonal celebrations.
Wednesday worship is often led by our valued partners from Open the Book, who bring Bible stories to life through engaging storytelling and drama, with opportunities for pupils to participate and ask questions. We are also pleased to welcome visiting leaders including Reverend Nicki Bradford from Christ Church, Nailsea, and Pastor Peter from Nailsea Baptist Church, who further enrich our worship.
On Thursdays, our Praise Worship celebrates the achievements of the week. One child from each class receives special recognition if their name is drawn from the raffle tickets. We also share and display our Work of the Week as one child’s learning achievements are celebrated. During this worship, children who have particularly demonstrated our termly value are awarded the Golden Feather Certificate.
On Fridays, worship takes place within classes, providing a more reflective space. Pupils also learn about courageous advocates, helping them understand how individuals live out values to make a positive difference in the world.
If you are unable to attend school and would like to engage in worship at home, please see this information.

Our worship is invitational and inclusive, warmly welcoming children of all faiths and none. We have worship leaders, who help to start and end our worship by leading the call and response. Pupils are encouraged to take part in prayer and reflection but are never required to do so. While our worship is rooted in our Christian foundation, it creates space for every child to reflect within their own beliefs and experiences.
We also value opportunities to worship together as a wider community. Families are warmly invited to join our liturgical seasonal services throughout the year, including Harvest, Remembrance, Christmas, Christingle and Easter celebrations. We regularly worship at Christ Church for key services such as Harvest, the evening Christmas carol service, Christmas morning, Easter and our Year 6 Leavers’ Service, strengthening our close partnership with the church and community.
