Christian Values
Our school’s Christian Values are:
- Respect
- Responsibility
- Compassion
- Courage
- Perseverance
- Hope
They are integral to our school life at Kingshill Church School.
Each term, we focus on one of our core values, which is explored and celebrated through our weekly whole-school assemblies. As part of this, pupils learn about Bible stories that illustrate the value in action, helping them understand its meaning within a Christian context.
Throughout the term, pupils are encouraged to live out these distinctive Christian values in their daily learning and relationships. Our Golden Feather award is presented weekly to children who exemplify the focus value, recognising and celebrating positive role models across the school.
In our hall, striking murals created by a local artist provide a visual reminder of our values in action. These artworks support reflection and help our whole community understand and live out what the values mean in everyday school life.

Respect
At our school, our values are at the heart of everything we do. They help to shape our character, guide our choices, and support us in becoming caring, responsible and confident members of our community.
As a church school, our values are rooted in Christian teachings and inspired by the life and example of Jesus. Each value is supported by a Bible verse from the New Testament, helping us to understand how these principles can be lived out in our daily lives. Through collective worship, classroom learning and everyday interactions, we encourage all members of our school community to embrace these values and put them into action.
Respectful
“Do to others as you would have them do to you.” (Luke 6:31)
Responsibility
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others.” (1 Peter 4:10)
Compassion
“Be kind and compassionate to one another.” (Ephesians 4:32)
Courage
“Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.” (Ephesians 6:10)
Perseverance
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9)
Hope
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him.” (Romans 15:13)
Together, these values help us to create a nurturing, inclusive and aspirational community where every child is encouraged to flourish, achieve their potential and make a positive difference in the world.
