National School Sport Week at Home: 20th – 26th June

Kingshill Church School is joining the Youth Sport Trust and Sky Sports to help young people and families up and down the country engage in a week of virtual sporting challenges.

This UK-wide campaign will give families, communities, schools and sports clubs the chance to capture the enjoyment, competition and camaraderie they have been missing out on during weeks of school closures and social distancing.

With social distancing in place, pupils and staff in school will be will be taking part in various activities during the week and we encourage children and their families at home to join in too.

Choose activities from each of these 5 categories:

  • Track and field
  • Aiming sports
  • Team sports
  • Adventure sports
  • Artistic sports

Once you have chosen your challenges, see how many people you can encourage to take part together either within your home or virtually. Throughout the week try as many different activities as you can and have fun setting new personal bests and creating memories.

You can find all the activity ideas on the link below, each activity has a simple video explaining how to complete the challenge.  There is also a scorecard you can print off if you wish.  Please send in any pictures you have of the children taking part in the activities at home, you could even send their scores in if you wish.
